Mi az Orly reptérre érkeztünk. Itt már érdemes metróbérletet váltani. (A taxi
30 euróért vitt volna el.) A bérlethez metró térkép is tartozik. Ez
nélkülözhetetlen. A reptértől egy vezető nélküli vonatocskával lehet eljutni az
első metró állomásra. A szállásunk Párizs külvárosában volt, a Gallieni

Három éjszaka 2 fő részére 132 euró és 30 centbe került. Nyilvány főszezonban drágább.
A várost 14 metróvonal hálózza be, és a mi HÉV-ünkhöz hasonló emeletes gyorsvasút is működik. A bérlet erre is érvényes. A hotel kicsi olcsó és tiszta. Közelében van egy bevásárlóközpont, benne egy Auchan. Annak ellenére, hogy Párizs, az árak nem túlzottak. Édes francia bort az Auchanban már 1.7 euróért lehet kapni. (kb. 425 Ft.) Persze van 45 euróért is… (11 250 Ft.) Általánosan: az alapvető élelmiszer nem drága az üzletben. Az étterem már eléggé. Párizsra jellemző, hogy tíz párizsiból szemmel láthatóan öt nem európai származású. A közhiedelemmel ellentétben elég sokan beszélnek angolul. A frekventáltabb helyeken ez szinte kötelező az ott dolgozóknak.

- Louvre -
A Szajna partján van, irdatlan nagy komplexum. Az üvegpiramis a főbejárat.
Hétköznap is rengeteg a túrista. A belépő 9 euró. Elméletileg külön fotós jegy
is kapható, de ezt szemmel láthatóan senki nem vette komolyan - mindenki fotóz mindent. A Mona Lisa előtt tömeg. A kép el van kerítve, és egy üveg alatt tartják. Nem tartom valószínűnek, hogy az az eredeti. Egy 500 éves faképet fénytől óvott, kondícionált helységben kell őrizni. Egyébként 77 X 53 centis festményről üvegen át, kb. 5 méterről egy szakértő sem állapítja meg, hogy eredeti vagy másolat. De ugyanez vonatkozik a többi nagyértékű festményre is. Egyébként látni, hogy festők másolják a festményeket. Nem csinálnak belőle nagy titkot… A kertbe is érdemes szétnézni. Van ott egy kisméretű diadalív. Látni onnan a Concorde teret, pontosabban az obeliszket. Ott kezdődik a Champ Elysees.
Egy nap alatt nem lehet mindent megnézni. Viszont van hetibérlet. Hasznos infók:

- Notre Dame -
Ez egy jó nagy templom, egy szigeten. Az előtte levő téren koldusok, és
természetesen túristák. Bent misztikus félhomály és kellemes zene.
Belépő nincs. A szentély körbejárható. Fel lehet menni a toronyba. (mi ezt
kihagytuk) Nagyon sok mellékoltár van, és a gyóntatás üvegfalú szobácskákban folyik, szinte nagyüzemben. Fél óra alatt be lehet járni a templomot.
- Invallidusok -
Messziről látható aranykupolás épület. Tulajdonképpen egy kaszárnyakomplexum.
Az udvaron ágyúk, maga az épületben múzeumok vannak. A templomba a belépés ingyenes.
A templom mögött az aranykupola alatt van Napóleon szarkofágja. Ez a föld szintje alatt van, de le lehet menni és körbe lehet járni. Ugyanezen a szinten van Napóleon néhány családtagjának, és más történelmi személyek szarkofágjaik is.
Belépő 8 euró.

- Versailles -
Párizstól délnyugatra kb. 50 km-re van, ami egy órás utazás a gyorsvasúton. A
vasútállomástól gyalog el lehet jutni a kastélyhoz. Tábla nyíllal “chateau”.
Belépő 13.50 euró. Sok giccses szoba. Minden arany, selyem, márvány és tükör… persze túristák mindenütt. Az audio-guide ingyenes. Sajnos magyarul nem tud. A kert nagyon nagy. Tavasszal, nyáron biztosan szép. Ősszel már kicsit színevesztett.

- Eiffel Torony -
Kihagyhatatlan. Baromi nagy. 324 méter magas. Három szintje van, ahová lifttel lehet feljutni. Az első szint 4.50, a második 7.80, a csúcs 11.50 euro. Alatta fekete árusok Eiffel tornyocskákat árulnak. “Two for one. Special price, just for you. It’s no expensive.” Kb. 1-2 euróért lehet kapni különböző méretű színű szuvenírokat. A torony előtt van a Mars mező. Ez egy nagy zöld terület pihenő, kocogó emberekkel. A tornyot teljes egészében fotózni csak innen vagy a Szajnán átvezető Ilena hídról lehet, ami a Trocaderóra vezet. Innen szép kilátás nyílik Párizsra és a toronyra amit, éjszaka kivilágítanak. Gyönyörű. Időnként fényjátékkal is látványosabbá teszik.

- Diadalív -
Triomphe. Itt végződik a Champ Elysees. Kaotikus körforgalom van körülötte.
Egy aluljárón keresztül lehet odamenni. Amikor ott voltunk veteránok koszorúztak. Nem tudom mi volt Franciaországban október 23.-án… Van egy múzeum, amit az aluljáróból lehet megközelíteni. A diadalív tetejére is fel lehet menni.
